Well I know I have not posted anything since my first one many many moons ago, my apologies.
Anyhooo....I am back and for your info. I am currently pursuing a study that has eluded me my whole life, no its not tantric sex...I'll get to that shortly. I am studying the art of filmaking! Yes, you heard me right the first time, I am gonna be a filmaker, age or past experience or the world's cynic perception is no excuse.
How does Tantrism fit into this? Well I thought I would awaken the WA film industry with a bang, what else would give bang if not the topic of sex? And Tantric Sex has aways been and enigma, we all wanna know more but its either our traditional apphrehension towards this "sex" thing or due lack of "exposure" that we have usually remained on the safe shores of conservative thinking.
As a person of Indian origin, I have to admit I know as much as the guy in the ticket booth in the train station, in case you are wondering, that means not much. So when Wayne, my lecturer, told us to pick a topic on my micro-doc, I naturally chose to explore the lives of immigrants in Australia, then as I was lazing on the couch one day I saw this doco helping helping couples to have sex on TV! It introduced me the world of Tantric Sex, I knew immediately that this is what I should work on!
Don't get me wrong, its not cheesy or lewd in any form or manner, in fact, from what I saw it seemed very helpful to the couples, they were rediscovering each other and the best part is, it was very very sexy.
As I said, I know next to nothing, so I google and wikied and learn a few things which was interesting (very interesting foolks!) It seems Tantra is more than sex, yeah I was surprised too. So I kept reading and now I have read so much now I am confused on how to present this doco! This is the bad side of too much information...the fact that I was unwell last week did not help me the least.
You, Now, in to the final week before we are shooting (thats next week!), I am glued here trying to explain to you how I am gonna solve this problem when I myself have not figured out the solution to it!
I tried calling the Tantric Goddess in Perth but of no luck! Yes they have Tantric Goddesses, isn't that bloody cool? I think it bloody cool! See, I told ya its more than meets the eye! I hope she calls me back soon. Then there is this cool dude in FTI that has gone thru that lifestyle but I don't have his bloody number...I hope he replies to my email soon or this bloody mind is gonna burst. So if know anything about this subject and if you live in Perth, please, in the name of Tantrism, contact me!
I know I overreact sometimes...but if you don't overeact in time of crisis you as good as dead and heartless, you see, overracting is not panicking, overreacting to me is going into the critical mode when you start thinking fast and move quickly...which at times may seem like panic, but its not panic..All thing said, I am somehow convince things will fall in to place eventually, usually at the eleventh hour, so I gonna make myseld another cup of coffee and play my psp.....hehehe
yours truly,
owh, you know who!

The mind and the parachute...
For every parachuter, the most important part during a jump is for the parachute to open properly, because if it fails, it usually means certain death. Even when its open its not necessarily guarantees a safe descent to terra fir ma for it has to open completely and there should be no tangles among the lines.
The same goes with our mind, for it to work properly, we have to ensure that we keep an open mind. Only with an open mind can we make the right choices in our lives. An open mind allows the flow of information that will help us to make the best decisions possible. However, having an open mind does not also necessarily guarantee a firm grasp of reality if we have preset conclusions. Meaning when we need to make sure the mind is also not entangled to our previous convictions. The lines of our mental parachute is usually connected to our past. So our past experiences will decide if they get entangled. Our past experiences could come from our parents or our teachers in school and our friends. So what can we do about that? We cannot control our past experience but we can choose our future experience by choosing the right kind of people to be our peers or mentors. The right kind of reading material will usually contribute even more greatly to our way our mind works.
Of course this is easier said than done. But who said being open minded is easy? It requires a high degree of humility and self restrain, or one may fall back on the old ways.
Are the old ways bad? Well I guess that depends on who's asking. Whether or not one should change their way of life or the way they think and judge their surrounding is best left to the individual's conscience. If your conscience has been giving you the tickle every now and then, the chances are you need to start checking on your mental parachute and its lines. "Our mind is like the parachute, it is only useful when its open..."
